The best Ethno-music on stage with DTS
Sète, a picturesque town in southern France, an important harbor and beautiful resort, is home to Fiest’à Sète 2015, a unique multiethnic music festival, offering a magical meeting of cultures and musical traditions from around the world. The 19th edition of the festival is held from 2 to 7 August: 6 nights in the exciting setting of the Théâtre de la Mer, a one-of-a-kind amphitheater that has as the exciting views of the Mediterranean Sea as backdrop,. The artistic director of Fiest’à Sète, José Bel, has gathered a cast of exceptional artists, including: the new Ladies of ethno music, Ibeyi and Yael Naim; the Ethiopian jazz of Mulatu Astatke and Mahmoud Ahmed; the messengers of Voodoo applied to music, the Vaudou Game; the ambassadors of Cuba sound, Jovenes Clasicos del Son and Chucho Valdes, nicknamed ‘the Mozart of Cuba’ … in short, a huge fresco of what music is beyond stereotypes.
The creative lighting design by Marc Jolivet has created an atmosphere full of charm capable of blending the exotic rhythms with the natural scenery.
D.T.S. is lighting the festival with the latest generation of its moving heads, as part of a close collaboration with the French company ESL, longtime technical partner of Fiest’à Sète.
The lihjt rig include the discharge lamp moving heads MAX, RAPTOR and JACK; and the LED source moving heads WONDER and NRG 1201.
