DTS yesterday and today

DTS from 1980 designs, engineers and produces a range of projectors for professional lighting design.

Over the last year, DTS has gone through an extraordinary evolution completely renovating its core product lines and focusing its design and production on dynamic lighting for entertainment and architectural applications. Today DTS distributes its projectors in more than 70 Countries all over the world.

The culture of light

The lighting profession, when it is practiced at the highest technical and creative levels, is real art. DTS is aware of this, and is proud of his calling: to spread and create appreciation for the lighting profession, through a series of workshops that have as lecturers the most important Directors of Photography and Lighting Designers.

HISTORY
1980

THE ADVENTURE BEGINS

DTS started work making lamps for domestic use and commercial spaces with optical fibres and anything else that the technology offered.

1987

THE LEAP

Thanks to the high level of production quality achieved in a few years, DTS became the supplier of big lighting companies. Working with industry leaders meant achieving very high standards of precision in the construction of optical units and other critical system components. A dynamic learning experience which accelerated the company's growth and made us make the big leap in the professional lighting.

1990

RESEARCH AND DEVELOPMENT

In 1990 DTS set up a new department devoted to the research and development of new lighting products. Investing in CNC machinery and in the specialization of co-workers, DTS gradually reached the production autonomy which is still one of the key points of the company.

1996

AUTOMATION

With numerical-control machines and robots operated by skilled workers, DTS further refined and improved its production processes, creating fully automated workstations capable of high production volumes and a great operational flexibility.

1999

THE FIRST DTS MOVING HEAD

DTS creates its first moving head projector featuring a 575W discharge lamp, called Movie Light.

2005

THE FIRST DTS LED PROJECTOR BREAKS NEW GROUND

2005-DELTA-RThe new DELTA R is a true innovative product: the first IP65-rated LED moving head wash light in history.

2008

INTRODUCING THE ‘XR’ LINE

2008DTS produces the top selling ‘XR’ line of high-power discharge lamp moving heads, widely exported all over the world. DTS projectors join big tours and shows.

2011

EXTENSION OF FACILITIES

The company grows and the facilities are extended to 12,000 square meters; the three plants are set within a range of 1 Km, to allow direct contact between all departments, from marketing to R & D, from engineering to production lines. Thanks to the high level of flexibility and quality the DTS has attained, the company enters new challenging market sectors. Meanwhile, Jack and NICK NRG 1201 hit the market, the first projectors in a new range of compact multifunction moving heads, that bring us to the present day.

2012

JACK: THE 1st ‘HYBRID’ EVER

2012DTS reaches the peak of technology and design:
JACK is the first multi-function hybrid moving head ever developed; a compact lightweight fixture able to generate BEAM / SPOT / WASH projections.

2018

SYNERGY: DTS BREAKS NEW GROUND AGAIN

DTS sets another record with SYNERGY 5 PROFILE, its new one-of-a-kind LED moving head: CRI> 90; the brightest in the category; the widest zoom; and the new Dynamove technology (DTS Patent Pending), which creates an infinite range of dynamic effects.
