MINI BRICK installed at BBC Newsroom

The BBC newsroom at New Broadcasting House is the largest in Europe and was set up as the BBC moved out of TV Centre. It is a 24-hour, 365-days-a-year operation, housing journalists and support staff covering national and international stories.

Robert Horne – Head Lighting Director for the BBC News studios at London’s New Broadcasting House – took on recently the task of updating the newsroom lighting rig, set on bars 9 meters up, directly above the journalists’ desks.

After testing a number of LED projectors, the choice fell on the MINI BRICK, supplied as standard with a number of quick-mount holographic filters that offer a range of projection angles.
The MINI BRICKs were fitted with the 60° x 10° filters, a setup that allowed to properly light around the edge of the newsroom without dazzling the journalists working there.
